I can’t believe I climbed to the top

Mount Chudalup is not a big hike - it’s only about a 1km return walk. But the walk to the top of the mountain is probably a class 4 walk.

You’ll need really good shoes with lots of grip, and the ability to climb up and down on your own. At least, I did.

There are fantastic views at the top, and a sense of accomplishment that you’ve climbed to the top. Well worth it.

Super Amazing Views

This will not disappoint
We climbed on the wettest windiest day ever but that view is truely spectacular
I would strongly recommend as it’s so worth the climb and compared to some it’s really easy

Breathtaking

Walkways made it easier to hike up. Beautiful veiw. Well worth overcoming a fear of heights. Toilets & picnic tables at base.

1hr return steep hill climb

Mt. Chudalup is nice short climb suitable for moderately fit people. Last section is quite steep without handrail and may be slippy if wet. Beautiful views from the top, quite windy and close to cliff edges.

Beautiful and Serene

Stayed at Riverway Chalet in Northcliff and used it as a base to visit Mount Chudalup and other surrounding areas. Absolutely stunning place great views and remote. Excellent place to getaway from it all and relax in nature.

Spectular 360 views

As a local, mount chadulup is a local treasure. You can walk right up to the top and see the surrounding natural areas with a 360 degrees view. I believe that the mount is made of granite and it is an awe inspiring feeling being in a rock so old with an amazing view. The walk is a bit steep, particularly when you get to the start of the rock climb and it is challenging. However, if you just want to be at the base of the climb, there is a picnic area which is lovely. Try to pick a day when it is not too windy.

Family experience

Great little mountain for all the family to climb with a breathtaking view - a couple of steep bits near the top so hold onto the little ones
